ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new treatment called AS1986NS for men who are suspected to have prostate cancer. The goal is to see how well this treatment works when combined with a special imaging technique that uses fluorescence to help doctors view cancer cells more clearly. This trial is in the early phase of testing, meaning researchers are just starting to evaluate its safety and effectiveness.
To be eligible for this trial, participants must be male and between the ages of 65 and 74, and they should have a suspicion of prostate cancer that requires a standard biopsy, which is a procedure where doctors remove a small sample of tissue to examine it. However, men who have certain health issues, such as problems with the liver, kidneys, or heart, or who are receiving specific radiation treatments for prostate cancer, cannot participate. While the trial is not yet recruiting participants, those who take part can expect to undergo tests to determine if the treatment works and how safe it is for them.
