ClinConnect Summary
The clinical trial titled "Integrating diabetes care into Primary Healthcare Centers in Abuja, Nigeria" is focused on improving the management of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM) for patients in two healthcare centers. The study aims to screen, diagnose, treat, and educate people living with diabetes to see how well this integrated care model works. It will look at how many patients are reached, how effective the treatments are, and how well the program can be adopted and maintained in the community.
To participate, individuals must be adults aged 18 and older who have uncomplicated Type 2 diabetes. Unfortunately, those under 18, individuals with Type 1 diabetes, pregnant women, or those with certain health complications will not be eligible. The trial is not yet recruiting participants, but once it starts, those who qualify can expect to receive comprehensive care and support tailored to help manage their diabetes effectively. This study is an exciting step towards enhancing diabetes care in primary healthcare settings in Nigeria.
