ClinConnect Summary
The LOVE Study is a clinical trial designed to better understand the long-term outcomes of different types of liver diseases, specifically focusing on conditions like Metabolic Dysfunction-Associated Steatotic Liver Disease (MASLD), Metabolic Dysfunction-Associated Steatohepatitis (MASH), and Alcoholic Liver Disease (ALD). Researchers want to gather more information about how these diseases progress over time in patients who have already participated in earlier studies. By using non-invasive tests instead of traditional liver biopsies, they hope to find effective ways to identify patients at risk and implement preventive measures.
To be eligible for this study, participants must be at least 18 years old and have a confirmed diagnosis of one of the liver conditions mentioned. They also need to have previously consented to take part in cohort studies. The study is currently not recruiting participants, but once it starts, those involved can expect to provide ongoing information through tests and assessments that will help researchers learn more about liver disease outcomes. This research aims to improve care and treatment options for individuals living with these liver conditions.
