ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the reliability of a tool called the Postural Habits and Awareness Scale (PHAS) in people with a condition known as postural hyperkyphosis, which is a forward bending of the spine. The aim is to see how well this tool can help assess a person's awareness of their posture and habits related to it. A total of 128 participants aged 8 to 65 years who have been diagnosed with postural hyperkyphosis will take part in the study. They will fill out the PHAS and another questionnaire about their spinal appearance. The researchers will check how consistent the tool is by having participants complete it again two weeks later.
To be eligible for the trial, participants must be between 8 and 65 years old and have a specific measurement of their spine's curvature. They should be able to carry out daily activities on their own and willingly agree to participate by signing a consent form. However, individuals with certain spinal issues, severe osteoporosis, or who have recently undergone spinal rehabilitation will not be included. Participants can expect to share their experiences regarding their posture, and their feedback will help improve the understanding and treatment of postural hyperkyphosis in the future.
