ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how the brain controls movements of the hand and mouth, specifically looking at whether there is a connection between these two types of movements. Researchers will use a special brain imaging technique called functional MRI to see what happens in the brain when young adults perform tasks that require fine motor skills with their hands and articulate speech. Understanding this relationship could help improve therapies for people who have had strokes, as it may lead to better ways of helping them regain their ability to speak.
To participate in this study, you need to be a right-handed man or woman between the ages of 18 and 35, and you must be covered by social security insurance. Participants will be asked to give their consent to join the study and will undergo an MRI scan. However, if you have any disorders that affect your hand or speech skills, a history of neurological issues, or certain other health conditions, you may not be eligible. This trial is not yet recruiting participants, so more information will become available soon.
