ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on helping cancer patients quit smoking, which is important because smoking can make cancer treatment less effective. Researchers want to create new mobile health tools, or "mHealth interventions," that can better support cancer patients in their efforts to stop smoking. By building a resource that offers these innovative tools, they aim to make quitting smoking easier and more effective for patients across Florida.
To participate in this trial, you need to be at least 18 years old, have smoked a minimum of 100 cigarettes in your lifetime, and have smoked at least one cigarette in the past 30 days. You should also have a working smartphone and be comfortable communicating in English. If you join the study, you can expect to receive support through these new mobile tools designed to help you quit smoking. Just remember, if you're currently pregnant or breastfeeding, you won’t be eligible to participate.
