ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking to measure serotonin levels in the blood of healthy adults to establish what is considered normal for different age groups and genders. Serotonin is a chemical in the body that helps regulate mood and other functions. The study will use leftover blood samples from patients who have already had routine blood tests at the hospital, so there will be no extra blood draws needed for participants.
To take part in the trial, you need to be an adult aged 18 or older, have had a blood draw at the hospital during the study period, and have normal blood counts. However, individuals with certain psychiatric conditions or those on specific medications like antidepressants will not be eligible to participate. The findings from this study will help create reference values for serotonin levels, which could be useful for future research and understanding of various health conditions.
