ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the effects of adding flaxseed to the diet of people with Type 2 diabetes. The main goal is to see if eating flaxseed for 12 weeks can improve health markers, like blood sugar levels, and enhance the quality of life for those living with this condition. The researchers will compare two groups: one group will eat flaxseed every day, while the other group will follow their usual diet without flaxseed.
To participate, you need to be between 19 and 65 years old, diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes, and have a certain body weight range. You will be asked to fill out a questionnaire, keep a record of what you eat for three days, and have some measurements taken before and after the study. During the 12 weeks, you'll take either 30 grams of ground flaxseed daily or follow your regular diet, and you’ll have check-ins at the clinic every month. This trial is not yet recruiting participants, so there's no need to worry about signing up just yet.
