ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how effective mouthguards are in preventing dental injuries while playing sports. Researchers want to understand if using mouthguards can reduce injuries to the soft tissues in the mouth, improve oral health, and enhance the overall quality of life for athletes aged 7 to 30 years. The study will also check how the mouthguards themselves hold up over time and how comfortable they are for the users.
To participate, individuals need to be healthy (no serious medical issues), engage in sports at least twice a week, and be between 7 and 30 years old. Participants will undergo a complete oral examination and provide information about their dental and sports history. They will be monitored for any mouth injuries and changes in their oral health over a six-month period after receiving a mouthguard. This trial is currently recruiting participants, and it aims to gather important insights that could help improve dental safety in sports.
