ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is looking at two different methods to stop bleeding during a specific type of surgery called laparoscopic cystectomy, which is used to remove ovarian cysts. The study will compare the use of electrosurgical energy, a tool that uses heat to cut tissue and control bleeding, with hemostatic sealants, which are substances that help seal bleeding areas. The goal is to find out which method works better for managing bleeding during this procedure.

To participate in this trial, women aged 18 and older who have been diagnosed with non-cancerous ovarian cysts and are healthy enough for laparoscopic surgery may be eligible. However, women who are pregnant, postmenopausal, or have certain medical conditions, including bleeding disorders or recent abdominal radiation, will not be able to join. Participants can expect to be part of a team that is focused on improving surgical techniques and outcomes for future patients. This trial is currently recruiting, so interested individuals can learn more about how to get involved.
