ClinConnect Summary
The FIT-COACH trial is studying a new program that combines the use of Fitbit devices with health coaching to help individuals with overweight or obesity improve their physical activity and overall health. The goal is to see if this approach can make a positive difference for people who are already taking a medication called GLP-1 for weight loss. The program is being tested in collaboration with primary care doctors, who will refer eligible patients to participate in a 12-week health coaching program.
To be eligible for this trial, participants must be at least 18 years old, have a body mass index (BMI) between 27 and 40, and have been taking a GLP-1 medication for at least the past three months. Participants will work with a health coach who will help them increase their physical activity while using the Fitbit to track their progress. The trial is actively recruiting participants, and both patients and their doctors will share their experiences to help improve the program for future use. This is a great opportunity for those looking to enhance their health and support their weight loss journey!
