ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on finding ways to reduce missed appointments for individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders, such as autism. The study aims to see how different types of appointment reminder messages can help people remember their appointments. It will also look at how a patient navigator, who is someone that helps families prepare for their appointments, can make a difference for those who are more likely to miss them. Additionally, the trial will identify which patients are at the highest risk of missing appointments and explore how these strategies can help patients from different backgrounds.
If you or a family member are scheduled for an evaluation at the center for autism or the center for neuropsychological and psychological assessment, you may automatically be included in the reminder message part of the trial. For those at higher risk of missing appointments, a patient navigator will reach out to provide extra support. This trial is open to all ages, but patients over 18 will not be included in the patient navigator part. Participation in this study could help improve appointment attendance and ensure that more diverse patients receive the care they need.
