ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, called "Integrated HPV Vaccination and Adolescent Health in Tanzania," is studying how to improve access to HPV vaccinations and other health services for adolescents aged 9 to 15 years. HPV, or human papillomavirus, can lead to cervical cancer, which is a major health issue for women in sub-Saharan Africa. The trial aims to combine HPV vaccination with general health care services to make them more convenient and effective for young people, especially those who are not in school. By doing this, researchers hope to see if more adolescents will get vaccinated and use other health services.
To participate in this study, adolescents need to be between 9 and 15 years old, live in the study regions, and have permission from a parent or guardian. Parents or guardians must also live in the same area and agree to take part. Participants will be involved in surveys and interviews to share their experiences and opinions about the health services and vaccinations. This trial not only seeks to understand how well the new approach works but also how acceptable and sustainable it is in the community. It's an important step towards improving health outcomes for adolescents in Tanzania.
