ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on understanding osteoporosis, a condition that weakens bones and makes them more likely to break, particularly in older adults living in Shandong Province, China. The researchers aim to gather important information about how common osteoporosis is among the elderly in the community, and what factors might increase the risk of developing this condition. They also want to investigate how certain blood tests can help in diagnosing and predicting the outcomes for patients with osteoporosis.
To participate in the study, individuals must be at least 65 years old and have lived in the area for more than six months in the past year. Unfortunately, those with cognitive impairments or mental illnesses cannot join. If you or a loved one qualifies and chooses to participate, you can expect to help create a valuable database that will advance research on osteoporosis and potentially improve care for others in the future. The findings from this study will not only be published but will also be shared at academic conferences, helping to raise awareness and understanding of osteoporosis in the elderly population.
