ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how a new approach called Patient Blood Management (PBM) can help reduce the need for blood transfusions in women who experience heavy bleeding during childbirth. Anemia, which affects many pregnant women, can increase the risk of complications during delivery, including the need for transfusions, which can also come with risks. The trial aims to see if implementing specific measures—like checking for anemia, providing iron and vitamin supplements, and managing bleeding during and after delivery—can lead to fewer women needing blood transfusions after experiencing delivery hemorrhage.
To participate in this study, women who have had heavy bleeding during childbirth are eligible. However, those who are minors, under legal protection, have certain blood disorders, or choose not to participate will not be included. If you decide to take part, you can expect to receive care based on the new PBM protocol and help researchers understand how well it works in real-life settings. This trial is an important step in improving care for pregnant women and ensuring their safety during delivery.
