ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how high-fidelity simulation, which is a realistic training method for medical professionals, can affect stress levels in medical trainees. The researchers want to find out when during the simulation participants feel the most stress, how their stress levels change after a second simulation, and which parts of the brain are activated during this training. The study will involve groups of three trainees from specialties like Emergency Medicine, Anesthesia, and Pediatrics, who will go through two simulated clinical scenarios while their stress responses are measured using tools like eye tracking, heart rate monitoring, and brain activity recording.
To be eligible for this study, participants need to be medical trainees in the specified specialties, have normal or corrected hearing and vision, and not have any history of psychiatric disorders, severe stress in the past six months, or be on certain medications that affect the heart or mind. Those who participate can expect to work in teams and experience a realistic simulation that reflects their training, while their stress responses are carefully monitored to help improve future medical education. It's important to note that recruitment for this study has not yet started.
