ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how a special sports program can help teenagers with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) become more active and involved in sports. Many teens with ASD don’t participate in physical activities as much as their peers, and this trial aims to change that by combining a sports program called Sports Stars Brazil with a supportive approach known as PREP. This combination is designed to make it easier for these teens and their families to join in sports and recreational activities after the program ends.
To take part in this study, teens should be diagnosed with ASD and have certain levels of functioning that allow them to interact and adapt to changes, though they may struggle with communication. Participants in the trial will be involved in a structured program and will also share their thoughts and experiences about it. This study is not yet open for enrollment, but it aims to help improve the physical skills and overall enjoyment of sports for adolescents with ASD and their families.
