ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking to compare two different surgical techniques for treating acquired tracheal stenosis, a condition where the airway becomes narrowed, making it hard to breathe. The two methods being studied are slide tracheoplasty and tracheal resection anastomosis. The goal is to find out which approach leads to better outcomes for patients with significant airway obstruction caused by injuries or long-term intubation.
To be eligible for this trial, patients must have a specific type of tracheal stenosis that is severe enough to cause breathing problems and has not improved with other treatments. This includes individuals of any age and gender who meet these criteria. However, those with congenital tracheal conditions, cancer-related stenosis, or serious health issues that prevent surgery will not be included. If you qualify and choose to participate, you will receive one of the two surgical treatments, and the research team will monitor your recovery and breathing improvements. This study aims to help improve treatment options for those suffering from this challenging condition.
