ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring how different factors related to assisted reproductive technologies (ART), like in vitro fertilization (IVF) and the use of fresh or frozen embryos, might affect the health outcomes of pregnancies. The researchers want to find out if pregnancies achieved through ART have a higher risk of issues such as small babies for their gestational age, preeclampsia (a pregnancy complication marked by high blood pressure), stillbirth, and certain placental problems. They will compare these outcomes between pregnancies that were conceived through ART and those that occurred naturally.
To participate in the study, women aged 18 and older need to be expecting a single baby or twins and have a live fetus between 11 to 13 weeks of pregnancy. Participants will provide information about their medical history and ART treatment and will undergo routine check-ups, including ultrasounds to monitor the baby's growth. The goal is to use this information to enhance understanding and improve care for those using fertility treatments, ultimately helping healthcare providers give better advice and support to expectant parents.
