ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new system that uses artificial intelligence (AI) to help doctors diagnose pediatric epilepsy in children under 18 years old. The goal is to see how accurately this technology can analyze EEG (electroencephalogram) data, which records electrical activity in the brain, to assist in identifying signs of epilepsy. While the trial is not yet recruiting participants, it aims to help children who are suspected of having epilepsy by providing doctors with better tools for diagnosis.
To participate in this study, children must be under 18 and have symptoms that suggest they might have epilepsy. However, children with other serious neurological or mental health conditions, or those who have taken certain medications that could affect EEG results within the past three weeks, will not be eligible. Participants can expect to undergo EEG monitoring, where their brain activity will be recorded to gather data for the AI system. This trial could ultimately lead to improved diagnosis and care for children with epilepsy.
