ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on creating a new questionnaire called the Cough Control Questionnaire (CCQ). The goal is to develop a tool that helps doctors and researchers understand how well patients are managing their cough, especially since chronic cough can last for over 8 weeks and affects many people. Right now, there are no specific tools to measure cough control, which makes it hard to evaluate how effective different treatments are. By participating in this trial, you will help create a valuable resource that could improve care for cough in the future.
To be eligible for this study, you need to be an adult aged 18 or older with either an acute cough (short-term) or a chronic cough (lasting longer than 8 weeks). You should also be able to read and write in English. A small number of healthy volunteers without respiratory issues will also be included. However, individuals who smoke, have had a respiratory infection recently, or are pregnant cannot participate. If you join the study, you can expect to fill out the new questionnaire and provide feedback, which will play a crucial role in helping develop this important tool.
