ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at a special program called the Life Story Club, which offers virtual sessions where older adults can share their personal stories and connect with others. The goal of this program is to help reduce feelings of loneliness and apathy, which are common among older adults. Reminiscence therapy, like what this trial is using, has been shown to improve mood and overall quality of life for seniors. Although this program has been used before, this trial aims to formally study its effects on community-dwelling older adults.
To participate in this trial, you need to be at least 60 years old and able to speak either English or Spanish. You should also be able to understand and agree to take part in the study. However, if you have been diagnosed with dementia or have significant difficulties with hearing or vision, you may not be eligible. Participants can expect to join virtual group sessions where they will share memories and stories, helping to create social connections and improve their well-being. This trial is not yet recruiting participants, so stay tuned for updates if you or someone you know might be interested!
