ClinConnect Summary
The iTBS/fMRI Study of Apex Control is a research trial that is looking at how a treatment called transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) affects certain areas of the brain, specifically the prefrontal cortex and posterior parietal cortex. This treatment uses magnetic fields to stimulate nerve cells in the brain, and the study aims to better understand its effects. The trial is currently recruiting participants who are between the ages of 18 and 30, right-handed, and fluent in English.
If you are considering participating, it's important to know that certain health conditions may prevent you from joining. For example, individuals with a history of psychiatric or neurological disorders, those taking medications for these conditions, or women who are pregnant cannot participate. If you qualify and decide to take part, you will have the opportunity to contribute to valuable research that could lead to new insights in brain treatments.
