ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how online mindfulness programs can help people dealing with emotional distress, anxiety, and depression. The researchers want to understand how these programs affect people's feelings over time and what helps them cope better with their emotions. They will ask participants to keep daily diaries during the study to track their emotional changes and explore factors like how well they tolerate distress and how flexible their thinking is. This research aims to improve online mental health support and provide better strategies for helping individuals.
To be eligible for the trial, participants should be aged between 65 and 74 or 21 and 914 and must have a score above 21 on a scale that measures psychological distress. However, those who cannot use the internet, have limited Chinese language skills, or have previously participated in mindfulness programs for more than six weeks are not eligible. Additionally, individuals with certain mental health conditions or those at risk of suicide cannot take part in the study. If selected, participants can expect to engage in daily mindfulness practices and share their experiences, contributing to valuable insights that could benefit others facing similar challenges.
