ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how accurately adults report what they eat over a 24-hour period using a method called the 24-hour dietary recall. This method is often used in nutrition research but can lead to underreporting, especially among people who are overweight or obese. The researchers want to find out if certain types of foods, like mixed dishes compared to simple snacks, are more likely to be misreported. To do this, participants will have controlled meals with specific foods, and their actual food intake will be carefully weighed. The next day, they will report what they ate online, and this will happen again a week later.
To participate in this study, you should be between the ages of 65 and 74 and able to come to the test site for meals at least two times. You cannot have any allergies or strong dislikes for the foods being tested. The findings from this research may help improve how we understand and measure people's food intake, leading to better tools for dietary assessments in the future.
