ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is looking at how well a new imaging method called transcranial colour coded duplex compares to a standard test called CT angiography in detecting blockages in blood vessels of patients who have had an ischemic stroke or a transient ischemic attack (which is a temporary stroke-like event). The goal is to find out if this new method is just as good, or even better, at identifying these blockages, which can help doctors provide better care for patients with stroke conditions.

To participate in this trial, you need to be someone who has recently experienced an acute ischemic stroke or a transient ischemic attack. However, there are some important things to consider: if you have certain heart conditions, autoimmune diseases, or previous brain issues, you may not be eligible. If you decide to join the study, you can expect to undergo both imaging tests, and the research team will closely monitor your health and safety throughout the process. This trial is currently recruiting participants of all ages and genders, so if you meet the criteria and are interested, it could be a meaningful opportunity to contribute to stroke research.
