ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how using cold and hot water immersions can help amateur soccer players recover from muscle fatigue and potentially reduce their risk of injuries. The researchers want to find out if cold water is better for recovery and performance than hot water, and they’ll also explore the best times and durations for these treatments. Participants will be assigned to different groups to experience either cold water immersion, hot water immersion, or a personalized thermal treatment based on their individual body temperature profiles, and they will undergo physical tests and wellness questionnaires to monitor their recovery.
To be eligible for this study, participants need to be at least 18 years old, healthy, and active members of an amateur soccer team in the Castilla-La Mancha region. They should not have any chronic illnesses or recent injuries that would stop them from playing soccer or participating in the water treatments. Throughout the trial, participants will provide blood and urine samples for analysis and engage in recovery sessions based on their assigned treatment. This study is not currently recruiting, but it aims to improve recovery strategies for soccer players.
