ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on creating a new test called the Drug and Alcohol Respiratory Health Test (DARHT). The goal of this test is to help doctors assess how substances like tobacco, alcohol, and certain drugs affect lung health. By developing this brief test, researchers aim to make it easier for healthcare providers to understand and manage respiratory conditions such as asthma, COPD, and lung infections.
To be eligible for this study, participants need to be at least 18 years old and have used tobacco, cannabis, cocaine, opioids, or alcohol within the last 28 days. They should also have a personal mobile phone to help schedule follow-up appointments. However, people with certain serious health conditions or recent surgeries that could interfere with the test are not eligible to participate. If you join the study, you can expect to take the DARHT and possibly receive guidance on your lung health based on the results. This trial is not yet recruiting participants, so keep an eye out for updates if you're interested!
