ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how well ChatGPT-4, an artificial intelligence tool, can help surgical trainees make decisions in clinical situations. The researchers want to see if using ChatGPT-4 can improve the way junior residents (newer doctors in training) think critically and make surgical judgments compared to more experienced doctors like senior residents and attending surgeons. By comparing their performances in standardized scenarios, the study hopes to find out if ChatGPT-4 can be a useful educational tool in surgical training.
To participate in this study, you need to be actively involved in a general surgery residency program at the participating hospital and be willing to complete a series of clinical case scenarios. It’s important that you answer these scenarios on your own without looking for outside help. If you're selected, you’ll be asked to engage in these clinical scenarios, but the trial is not open for enrollment just yet. Overall, this study aims to explore new ways to enhance training for future surgeons using advanced technology.
