ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring how two types of special contact lenses—corneal rigid gas permeable lenses (CRGPL) and scleral rigid gas permeable lenses (SRGPL)—affect eye health and vision quality in people with keratoconus, a condition that causes the cornea to become thin and irregularly shaped. The researchers want to see which type of lens provides better vision improvement, comfort, and overall eye health. They will collect information from participants about their experiences wearing each type of lens and measure various eye health indicators.
To participate in this study, you need to be between 18 to 40 years old and have a diagnosed case of keratoconus with certain vision requirements. Participants will have the opportunity to try both types of lenses during the study, so they can compare their experiences. This trial is important because it will help to better understand how these lenses work for people with keratoconus, especially as the scleral lenses are becoming more popular. If you meet the criteria and are interested in improving your vision, this could be a valuable opportunity.
