ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring a new software and hardware system called Mystic Pets to see how well it can help children aged 4 to 18 manage anxiety while in the hospital. The study will take place at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital in California and aims to find out if this technology is practical and useful for young patients.
To participate, children need to be between the ages of 4 and 18 and speak English. However, if a child has certain conditions like hearing impairments or significant neurological issues, or if their legal guardian cannot give permission, they won't be able to join. If eligible, participants can expect to use the Mystic Pets system during their hospital stay, which may help make their experience more comfortable and less stressful. This study is currently not recruiting participants, but it is an exciting opportunity to see how technology can support kids in managing anxiety during medical treatment.
