ClinConnect Summary
The REMINDER4Care program is a clinical trial aimed at helping older adults living in Residential and Daycare Facilities reduce their risk of developing dementia. Researchers believe that by making lifestyle changes—like staying socially active and engaging in cognitive activities—it's possible to improve brain health and lower the chances of dementia. This program is specifically designed for people aged 65 and older who are using these facilities, as they have unique needs that require special attention.
To participate in the trial, individuals must be 65 or older, live in a residential or daycare facility, and have basic reading and writing skills. However, those diagnosed with dementia or certain other cognitive issues, as well as individuals with long-term psychiatric or neurological conditions, are not eligible. If you join the study, you can expect to take part in various activities aimed at enhancing your mental and social well-being. The trial is currently recruiting participants, and it's a great opportunity to contribute to research that could help many older adults in the future.
