ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how tiredness affects patients during awake brain surgery for tumor removal. Sometimes, doctors need to keep patients awake during certain parts of the surgery to ensure they don’t suffer from major disabilities after the procedure. By using a simple tool called the "Karolinska Sleepiness Scale," researchers aim to measure how tired patients feel during and after their surgery. This information will help surgeons understand how long they can safely work on the tumor while the patient is awake.
To participate in this trial, you must be an adult over 18 years old and scheduled for surgery to remove a brain tumor where staying awake is necessary. You should also be able to understand and give consent for the study. If you join, you'll be asked to rate your level of sleepiness after the surgery using the scale mentioned earlier. It's important to know that this study is currently recruiting participants and aims to improve the surgical experience for patients undergoing this type of surgery.
