ClinConnect Summary
The WIN study is a clinical trial designed to help people with obesity improve their overall health and quality of life without focusing on losing weight. Instead of traditional weight loss methods, this program emphasizes listening to your body’s natural hunger and fullness signals. It combines intuitive eating techniques with strategies to address body image concerns and weight stigma. The study will last for six months and is based on input from people in Denmark who have experience with these health approaches.
To join the study, participants need to be at least 18 years old, have a body mass index (BMI) of 30 or higher, and live in the Capital Region of Denmark. It's important that they can understand and communicate in Danish and are able to attend group sessions. However, individuals who are pregnant, have recently used weight loss medications, or have certain health conditions that could interfere with participation will not be eligible. Participants can expect to engage in supportive group activities that focus on improving their mental, social, and physical well-being in a friendly and encouraging environment.
