ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, titled "De-stressing the Brain," is exploring whether eating grapes can help protect the brain and blood vessels during stressful situations in young, healthy adults. Researchers want to see if grapes, which are high in a natural substance called flavonoids, can improve mood and thinking skills when someone is under mental stress. They will also look into how a person's regular diet, gut health, and fitness levels might influence the benefits of eating grapes during stressful times.
To participate in this study, you need to be a healthy adult between the ages of 18 and 40. Some people may not be eligible if they smoke, drink more than 21 units of alcohol per week, have certain health conditions, or are currently taking specific medications. If you join the study, you will receive either a grape powder that is high in flavonoids or a similar powder that is lower in flavonoids. Researchers will assess how these interventions affect your brain and blood vessel health during stress. This study is not yet recruiting participants, but it aims to shed light on tasty ways to manage stress and support brain health!
