ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is exploring a new way to help children recover and improve their movement while they are in the hospital. The study will use special technology that tracks motion and combines it with fun games to encourage kids to be more active. Often, when children are hospitalized, they spend too much time in bed, which can make it harder for them to move around later. This trial aims to see if this engaging gaming approach can motivate them to participate in physical activity, which is important for their healing.

To participate in this study, children between the ages of 6 and 17 who are receiving physical therapy at Stanford Children's Hospital may be eligible, as long as they are cleared by a doctor to stand and move their upper body. Participants will get to play games that involve standing and moving, making their therapy sessions more enjoyable. It's important to note that children with certain medical conditions that restrict physical activity won't be able to join. This trial is not yet recruiting participants, but it promises to be an exciting opportunity to make rehabilitation more engaging for young patients.
