ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a program called Mindfulness in Motion (MIM) aimed at helping university dance students manage stress, prevent burnout, and build resilience. Over eight weeks, participants will engage in activities like group discussions, mindfulness exercises, and gentle yoga, all designed to improve their mental and physical well-being. The program’s weekly themes will cover topics such as mindful eating, the importance of sleep, and techniques for staying grounded. Additionally, students will have access to a smartphone app that supports their learning and practice.
To participate in this study, you need to be at least 18 years old and enrolled as a second-year dance major at The Ohio State University for the Fall 2025 semester. Third-year dance majors who completed the first-year course in the previous academic year are also eligible. Throughout the semester, the trial will assess how effective this course is in reducing stress and discomfort, as well as improving overall well-being. This is a great opportunity for students to learn valuable skills to help them thrive in their studies and dance careers.
