ClinConnect Summary

The Actívatexto trial is a study designed to help Latino adults who smoke cigarettes to quit smoking and become more physically active. This trial uses a mobile program that includes text messages to motivate participants, wearable devices to track their physical activity, and medications to help with quitting smoking. The goal is to see how well this program works and what factors might help people succeed in quitting smoking and increasing their activity levels.

To participate in this study, you need to be at least 18 years old, identify as Hispanic or Latino, and be able to read and speak English or Spanish. You should smoke cigarettes regularly and be interested in quitting within the next month. Participants will need to have a cellphone that can send text messages and be willing to wear a device to track their activity. If you join the study, you will receive support through the text messages and other tools to help you along your journey to better health. Note that this trial is not yet recruiting participants, but it is an exciting opportunity for those who qualify and want to make a positive change in their lives.
