ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at a new digital tool designed to help patients with cancer better understand their treatment options and improve their overall experience during their care. The study will include patients who have recently been diagnosed with breast or head and neck cancer and are receiving treatment at NYU Langone Health. Both patients and their caregivers will be part of the research, along with medical professionals who provide their care. The goal is to see if the use of this visual communication tool makes patients and caregivers feel more satisfied with the information they receive and their overall experience.
To be eligible for this trial, participants must be between 18 and 100 years old, English-speaking, and be diagnosed with one of the specified types of cancer. Caregivers of these patients can also participate if they are adults and can provide consent. The trial is not yet recruiting participants, but once it begins, those involved can expect to engage with the visual tool and share their feedback through surveys about their experience. It’s important to note that the tool is currently only available in English, but efforts are being made to translate it into other languages.
