ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how well ultrasound imaging can help predict whether a patient will have a difficult time being intubated, which is a common procedure where a tube is placed in the airway to help with breathing during surgery. Researchers will compare these ultrasound measurements with traditional methods to see which is more effective in identifying patients who might experience challenges during intubation.
To participate in this trial, patients must be over 18 years old and scheduled for surgery that requires intubation, with their consent to join the study. However, individuals with a history of difficult intubation, pregnant women, and those who have had surgery or trauma in the head or neck area will not be eligible. If you choose to participate, you will have your airway evaluated using ultrasound before your surgery to help ensure a safer intubation process. The trial is not yet recruiting participants, so there will be more information available once it starts.
