ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how using a whiteboard at the bedside can help reduce anxiety and depression in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and improve nursing care. COPD is a serious lung disease that makes it hard to breathe and is often linked with feelings of anxiety and depression. The researchers want to see if having a whiteboard where important information can be displayed will enhance communication between the healthcare team and the patients, leading to better care and support.
To participate in this trial, individuals must be at least 18 years old, have a diagnosis of COPD, and be hospitalized for at least seven days. Unfortunately, those with strong reading and comprehension skills may not be eligible. Participants can expect to be involved in a study that examines their experiences with the bedside whiteboard and its impact on their emotional well-being and overall satisfaction with nursing care. This research aims to create better communication and support for COPD patients, ultimately improving their hospital experience.
