ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the effects of two different nerve block techniques on recovery after surgery for nose reshaping and breathing improvement, known as septorhinoplasty. Specifically, the researchers want to find out which method—bilateral sphenopalatine ganglion block or bilateral infraorbital nerve block—helps patients recover better, experience less pain, and have fewer side effects after surgery. The trial will involve 90 adults aged 18 to 65 who are scheduled for this surgery and are in good health. Participants will be randomly assigned to receive one of the two nerve blocks just before their surgery.
If you or a loved one are interested in participating, it’s important to note that you should be able to understand and sign consent forms, and you must not have certain medical issues, like local infections or allergies to local anesthetics. During the trial, participants can expect to be monitored for their recovery quality, pain levels, and any side effects for 24 hours after surgery. The goal is to help determine which nerve block method leads to a smoother recovery, better pain management, and overall patient satisfaction.
