ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how effective a special training program is in teaching 7- and 8-year-old schoolchildren how to perform CPR, which stands for cardiopulmonary resuscitation. CPR is a lifesaving technique that can help someone who has stopped breathing or whose heart has stopped beating. The study wants to see if a structured training program can increase children’s knowledge and skills in basic life support so they can help during emergencies. Research has shown that teaching kids CPR can lead to better survival rates in cases of cardiac arrest, especially when they can share what they learn with friends and family.
To participate in this study, children must be between 7 and 8 years old and enrolled in a school that agrees to let them join. They should not be involved in any other CPR training at the same time. Children with health issues that might prevent them from learning CPR, or those who have already received CPR training, will not be eligible. The trial is not yet recruiting participants, but once it starts, kids can expect to learn important skills that could help save lives in emergencies.
