ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new method to better understand and treat hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), a type of liver cancer. Researchers are using special mini-organ models called patient-derived organoids (PDOs), which are created from cancer cells taken from patients. These models mimic the environment of the tumor in the body and help scientists see how the cancer interacts with both the liver and the gut. By doing this, they hope to find out how well current cancer treatments work and how these treatments might affect patients' outcomes.
To participate in this study, you need to be at least 18 years old and have been diagnosed with HCC or have a suspicion of it based on imaging tests. You also need to be able to provide informed consent, meaning you understand the study and agree to join. If you are interested, you can expect to undergo procedures that may include a liver biopsy to obtain the cells needed for the PDOs. This study aims to help improve future treatments for HCC by giving researchers better insights into how this cancer behaves.
