ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how stiff the liver and spleen are in healthy children. It uses a special technique called shear wave elastography (SWE) that is non-invasive, meaning it doesn’t require any needles or surgery. The goal is to find out what the normal stiffness values are for these organs in kids aged 0 to 18 years who don’t have any known liver or spleen diseases. This information could help doctors better understand and diagnose potential issues in children in the future.
To participate in this trial, children must be healthy and should not have any liver or spleen problems, like hepatitis or cirrhosis. Their parents or guardians will need to give written consent for them to join. The study is not yet recruiting participants, but if your child is eligible, they can expect to undergo a simple and safe test to measure the stiffness of their liver and spleen. This important research could lead to better ways to check for health issues in children.
