ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how different types of feedback, specifically visual (sight) and proprioceptive (body awareness), can help stroke patients improve their movement abilities through a technique called mental imagery. Mental imagery involves thinking about or visualizing movements, which can aid in rehabilitation. The researchers want to find out how these feedback types interact and how they may differ based on which part of the brain was affected by the stroke.
To participate in this trial, individuals must be between 18 and 80 years old and have experienced a stroke that has impacted their movement on one side of the body. Participants will take part in tasks where they imagine movements while their brain activity is monitored with a device called EEG, which records electrical activity in the brain. This study is not yet recruiting participants, but it is an important step toward understanding how to tailor rehabilitation techniques to better support stroke recovery.
