ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying how virtual reality (VR) can help patients before and after total knee replacement surgery. The researchers want to see if using VR can reduce anxiety before the surgery and help with pain management afterward. They will compare different ways and times to use VR, such as relaxing or distracting videos, to find out what works best for improving patients' emotional and physical recovery during this process.

To participate in the trial, patients need to be planning for an elective (scheduled) total knee replacement and be able to read and write in Turkish. They should also have certain health scores that indicate they are in stable condition. However, some people may not be eligible, including those who are on high doses of pain medications, have certain medical conditions, or are pregnant. Participants can expect to engage with VR technology as part of their care, which could make their surgery experience more comfortable and improve their recovery.
