ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, titled "Experiment 3: Mixed vs Blocked; Dashboard Paradigm," is exploring how people search for visual information. The researchers want to see if there are differences in how effectively people can find what they're looking for when they do the same type of search repeatedly versus when they switch between different types of searches. Participants will complete four different search tasks, where the main target is the same, but the distractions change with each task. This trial is open to individuals aged 65 to 74 who can see colors well and have good vision with correction (like glasses or contacts).
If you're interested in participating, you'll need to pass a color vision test and have a vision of at least 20/25 when corrected. However, if you have any history of visual or neuromuscular disorders, you would not be eligible. Participants will have the opportunity to choose what they are searching for during the tasks, and the study is currently recruiting. This is a great chance to contribute to our understanding of visual attention and search behavior!
