ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring a new approach to help older adults with conditions like Alzheimer's disease and mild cognitive impairment. Specifically, it’s testing whether a combination of physical activity and virtual reality therapy can slow down the decline in thinking and memory skills. Participants will either engage in this new therapy or continue with regular physical activities, like using a rehabilitation bike, over a 12 to 16-week period. Researchers will track changes in their cognitive abilities, physical health, and overall well-being, while also gathering feedback from participants and their families about their experiences.
To be eligible for this study, participants need to be older adults who can pedal a rehabilitation bike. The trial is looking for people who can commit to at least two sessions a week, lasting 15 minutes each. Throughout the trial, participants will have regular check-ins and will keep a diary to note their symptoms and experiences. This research aims to understand not just if this therapy is effective, but also how it impacts the daily lives of those involved.
