ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking to compare two different sizes of ureteroscopes, which are instruments used to treat ureteral stones, or kidney stones that have moved into the ureters. The study will assess how well each ureteroscope works in removing these stones and how successful the procedures are in leaving patients free from stones afterward. Additionally, the researchers want to understand how the size of the ureteroscope affects the stress level of the surgeon during the procedure.
To be part of this study, participants must have ureteral stones and agree to use a specific type of laser treatment during the procedure. However, those with active urinary tract infections, needing emergency surgery, having stones in both ureters, or who do not wish to participate will not be eligible. If you join the trial, you can expect to have your stone treatment done with one of the ureteroscopes, and your experience will help improve future treatments for others facing similar issues.
